Children
Our foundation has been providing active help in Uganda for 9 years. We started with six orphans in 2014 and now run a residential facility with 36 children and young people. We also opened a school for over 150 children in 2023 and we offer the village community various development opportunities with new further education programs.
The "Mothers Nest" orphanage is located in central India and belongs to the Swiss/Indian aid organization Bethany Samrakshana. in this home, healthy girls and children with mental and/or physical disabilities live together. Unfortunately, since 2021, the Indian government no longer allows healthy, school-age children under the age of 18 to be admitted. We are now using the space that has become available in our main building to expand the school and for children with disabilities or special needs.
Events
In keeping with a fine tradition, we are once again running our foundation pub at this year's Ägeri-Märcht.
We look forward to welcoming you there!
As we have done for many years, once again in autumn we are holding our fantastic sponsored run "We run for children" in Unterägeri. Run with us..
Since our foundation was established in 2002, we have held a charity event every year. The charity event in 2026 will once again take place at Shed Zug.

Excellent foundation! I have visited the children's home project in Uganda several times. It is impressive how it has developed in such a short time. Great work by the local staff and the foundation board. Absolutely worthy of support.
Our SDG
SDGs are United Nations goals that are intended to ensure sustainable development at an economic, social and ecological level worldwide. Our foundation focuses on the following SDGs:
My time at the "Home of Joy" children's home in Uganda was a formative and enriching experience. During my stay, I was not only able to make a direct contribution to the children's everyday lives, but also gain valuable insights into a different culture and way of life.
I helped look after the children, assisted with everyday tasks and organized playful and creative activities. I was particularly impressed by the warmth and joie de vivre of the children and the commitment of the staff. On site, I experienced a caring and supportive environment in which solidarity and mutual appreciation were tangible.
This experience broadened my view of the world and showed me how important interpersonal commitment is. I am very grateful for my time at the "Home of Joy" - it made me grow personally and I will always remember it.
