It is important for us to be well integrated in the community of Chopelwor. During the school vacations, the children of Home of Joy have been cleaning the local village square weekly after the weekly market. We also support a different family each week with salt, sugar, corn, rice, beans and soap and help with any work that needs to be done in and around the hut. The vegetables are contributed by the adjacent Ecco Farm. Since many of the villagers live in very poor conditions, this contribution is very much appreciated and our children learn through it to show charity.
