In the sign of Covid 19

In Uganda, too, 2020 has gone completely differently than planned. All schools have been closed since spring and the children are being taught at home.

Thanks to the reopening of our "Home of Joy" facility in January 2019, the children are well looked after in a safe place with good infrastructure and sufficient space. The children are taught at home according to their level. It is important to the on-site team to challenge the children academically, but also creatively and athletically. The time is used, among other things, to keep the garden going, to make music or to do sports. We are very happy that we built a sports field right next to our orphanage last year. So now our children, but also the children from the village, can benefit from it.

The planning work for the establishment of a new primary school is in full swing and we hope to be able to inform you about it soon.

We are very pleased that the planned maize mill could be realised thanks to the support of a partner foundation.

Unfortunately, a trip to Uganda was not possible for the Foundation Board this year. Thanks to the new techniques, however, we are very well informed about the ongoing projects and can support our team on the ground with advice and action.

We would like to thank the whole team for their extraordinary commitment.
