In the sign of Covid-19

In India, too, the year 2020 has turned out completely different than expected. Since spring, all schools have been closed and the children have to stay at home. Our orphans are in the fortunate position of being housed in a safe place during the long lockdown at the orphanage. The caregivers do their best to teach the children and keep them in good spirits. It is great to see the older children engaging with the younger ones. We are happy that none of our family member has been seriously ill.

Despite the lockdown, the monthly meetings of the HIV-positive women at our school could be held for the most part. We are very happy about this, because social exchange is especially important for them.

As can be seen in the photo above, the planned roof covering of the recreation room could be completed.

Unfortunately, it was not possible for us from the Foundation Board to travel to India personally this year. However, we are in close contact with the local leadership and are thus informed about all matters.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the onsite leadership team for their extraordinary commitment during this extraordinary year.
