Sad moments

The Indian government now only allows government-run homes to house healthy, school-age children under the age of 18. This led to sad moments last spring when children who had been at home with us for years had to move to distant relatives or to government-run homes. We try to continue to support these children. Our social worker is in constant contact with these families and we fund living expenses such as food, clothing and education where necessary.

At the moment 48 handicapped children and teenagers live in the home. We try to support and encourage them with trained professionals.
