Thanks to a LinkedIn post asking for a meaningful reuse of older football kits, we were able to receive a generous donation: Several boxes full of football shirts, shorts and socks from previous MS Sports football camps were made available to us.
As part of our mission to Uganda this year, we took the donated clothes directly with us and distributed them to pupils at the secondary school and to the children at the Home of Joy.
The joy on site was huge - the children were beaming, tried on the shirts straight away and felt like real football stars. For many, it was the first professional football shirt they had ever owned. In addition to their enthusiasm for the game, this also boosts their team spirit and self-confidence.
We would like to sincerely thank everyone involved for making this sustainable transfer possible - especially the donor team in Switzerland. A great example of how sport connects people and how real joy and opportunities can arise from unused material.
Let's kick for a cause!
