Sponsored run

As we have done for many years, we are once again holding our fantastic sponsored run "We run for children" in the fall

Sponsored run 2026

Every year in September, the motto is "We run for children". This popular sponsored run is already a tradition and an important source of income for our foundation.

In the run-up to the event, the runners, many of whom are children of course, look for sponsors who will donate a certain amount per lap or a fixed amount. The participants run their laps for 12 minutes with great joy and energy, in the knowledge that each additional lap brings an additional contribution for the children in India and Uganda.

The next sponsored run will take place on:

Saturday, September 19, 2026 in Unterägeri

I am very impressed by this warm-hearted foundation. It does great work in Uganda, where it opened a school for over 150 children last year. The LfvK Foundation is a 100% foundation, which means that every cent donated goes to the projects and their needy orphans. The foundation does a great job!

The Zug-based Light for Forgotten Children Foundation is supported by people who put their heart and soul into helping children around the world. Their dedication over a period of more than 20 years is admirable and shows how deeply committed they are to this important task.

The foundation does great work with a lot of heart and commitment. They show exciting insights into their projects and day-to-day work via Instagram. You can feel how much passion and heart is behind it all.

Excellent foundation! I have visited the children's home project in Uganda several times. It is impressive how it has developed in such a short time. Great work by the local staff and the foundation board. Absolutely worthy of support.

LIVIA

My time at the "Home of Joy" children's home in Uganda was a formative and enriching experience. During my stay, I was not only able to make a direct contribution to the children's everyday lives, but also gain valuable insights into a different culture and way of life.

I helped look after the children, assisted with everyday tasks and organized playful and creative activities. I was particularly impressed by the warmth and joie de vivre of the children and the commitment of the staff. On site, I experienced a caring and supportive environment in which solidarity and mutual appreciation were tangible.

This experience broadened my view of the world and showed me how important interpersonal commitment is. I am very grateful for my time at the "Home of Joy" - it made me grow personally and I will always remember it.
