Uganda
Our foundation is passionately committed to the education and future of children and young people in Uganda. In 2024, we opened a secondary school that is not only modern and conducive, but also the first within a 10 km radius in this region. Our vision is to give every child, regardless of their social or financial situation, access to quality education.
In Uganda, it is common for families to pay a fee per term for their children to attend school. Although this fee is already very low in our school at around CHF 150 per year, there are still many families who cannot afford this amount. In order to give these children a chance of a good education, we have set up a scholarship fund.
Our scholarship fund helps students in need to continue their education and realize their dreams of a better future. With the support of generous donors, we can ensure that no child has to miss out on education due to financial barriers.

In order to give even more children and young people access to high-quality education, we have begun constructing residential buildings directly on the school grounds. These new accommodations will provide a safe and secure place to sleep for around100 young people.
Since our secondary school is the only educational institution of its kind within a radius of more than 10 kilometers, this step is of central importance: many students have previously had to travel long and often dangerous distances every day in order to attend classes.
With the new residential buildings, we are not only creating greater security—we are giving young people the opportunity to focus their energy on learning and build their future in a stable environment.

Excellent foundation! I have visited the children's home project in Uganda several times. It is impressive how it has developed in such a short time. Great work by the local staff and the foundation board. Absolutely worthy of support.
My time at the "Home of Joy" children's home in Uganda was a formative and enriching experience. During my stay, I was not only able to make a direct contribution to the children's everyday lives, but also gain valuable insights into a different culture and way of life.
I helped look after the children, assisted with everyday tasks and organized playful and creative activities. I was particularly impressed by the warmth and joie de vivre of the children and the commitment of the staff. On site, I experienced a caring and supportive environment in which solidarity and mutual appreciation were tangible.
This experience broadened my view of the world and showed me how important interpersonal commitment is. I am very grateful for my time at the "Home of Joy" - it made me grow personally and I will always remember it.
