"My name is Shylaia and I am in Year 7 at St. Joseph's English Medium School. I really enjoyed the Christmas party. I like celebrations very much and they give me a lot of joy and satisfaction. I wish to become a good teacher. When I reach my goal, I want to visit all the states in my country to learn more about the culture and tradition."

Manjula

"My name is Manjula. I am very happy to be in my first year of college after achieving 10A+ in my tenth year of school. I have studied hard to achieve my goal. I am very scared of the corona virus. I only go outside when I need to. But thanks to the support of our Appa and everyone here at Mothers Nest, I'm doing well. I want to become a teacher to help other children. I enjoy my life."

Bhargavi

"I'm Bhargavi and I'm in 2nd grade. I want to become a speech therapist and help all deaf and mute children. I enjoyed Christmas very much despite the Corna scare. I am very grateful to all the people here and in Switzerland who support me.

Anusha

"I am Anusha. I'm in Intermediate 1 at school and my only wish is to become a nurse. The sudden, terrible corona virus in the world scares me a lot. Nature is very important to me in every part of my life and I enjoy it very much. I am very grateful that I have found my home here at Mothers Nest.

LIVIA

My time at the "Home of Joy" children's home in Uganda was a formative and enriching experience. During my stay, I was not only able to make a direct contribution to the children's everyday lives, but also gain valuable insights into a different culture and way of life.

I helped look after the children, assisted with everyday tasks and organized playful and creative activities. I was particularly impressed by the warmth and joie de vivre of the children and the commitment of the staff. On site, I experienced a caring and supportive environment in which solidarity and mutual appreciation were tangible.

This experience broadened my view of the world and showed me how important interpersonal commitment is. I am very grateful for my time at the "Home of Joy" - it made me grow personally and I will always remember it.
